Last Night was our Last Alpha Course for this year. Part of me was releaves that I have the whole Wednesday night available from than on and part of me feels that I'm going to miss fellowship with my fellow friends. Its supposed to be a happy night for me, but.. I don't know, maybe its just...
You see, I tried very hard to not to judge.. and be all ears when needed. But I can't help to critisize on how one carry themselves. The way their mind work and the way they responses. This fellow chap was kind enuf to give me a lift home, as I hate to trouble Manuel to send me home which have totally different routs. As we come out into the main road, and suddenly a motorbike cut us without giving way to us. This chap start cursing in his own language. From then on, he start the conversation of how sick he is with the traffic. Repeatedly saying he's sick! with the traffic. Adding that, Malaysia is the worst country... *now.. why wouldn't I be offended by this remark?*... just listen, I said to myself.
His frustration continues as how He have to drive his kids to school everyday for 50km and the 1 hour journey back because of the traffic. He's frustrated with the traffic again with his "sick" of the whole thing. I feels sorry this man. No words of comforts from me as I myself used to the traffic. He complains about the law in Malaysia which prolong cases for a very long time because of absent of the lawyer for not just 2, or 3 times.. but 100 times. Maybe he exagerated a bit, but I can understand his frustration. He shared his axperience when he did some job for a "Datuk". That when he delivered his paperwork and was asked to collect his payment on monday following week. And when He turn-up that monday, the whole company went to Indonesia. He said, that in Europe, with the invoice alone is enuf for him to get his payment thru the law. Poor guy... another victim of a scam "Datuk".
He told me about his son working in Australia, and keep saying about how easy it is making money in Australia. His son work in a meat factory where he can makes RM500 a day! impresive huh? He told me about his saving of RM300K which is part his and his wife.. I wonder, why he tell me about this? hem... Oh yeah, it was about how he will hire somebody to drive his kids to school and something envolves money.. well thats logic than. hehehe another frustration on the traffic old chap? hehehe
I can only imagine that, if its been Manuel who send me, we would have talk about how we had really good time singing in tenor, soprano stuff like that.. probably we sing some more. Hehehe...
But that will meant, he will spend more on petrol and arive home much late because of me. And I wouldn't want that for him. I feels really good that I tried to be Tenor last night. I am now looking forward for Christmas Caroling. I would love to sing in Tenor with Manuel, Joseph and Joel. Its sounds like a choir in an old church that has a choir group. hem... *me and my dreamland again*...
I think, I should stop now.. too much writing would make you bored to death. My request is, do pray for this old chap. His frustration makes him seem bitter I think. But he have the angel heart. Do pray for him to find peace and patient to go thru his daily life.
A very good words I want to share with you all that remember when Nicky Gumbel recite it last night... good words of advice.
9Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
14Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[c] Do not be conceited.
17Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. 18If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay,"[d]says the Lord. 20On the contrary: (Roman 12:9-21.)
"If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."[e] 21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
